Digital Creativity Foundation - Catalyst 2023 - Media Design School
Catalyst 2023 - Media Design School
In July 2023, the Digital Creativity Foundation (DCF) Department at Media Design School launched an eagerly awaited event - the first-ever exhibition showcasing the incredible achievements of students who had successfully completed their one-year programme of study, Digital Creativity Foundation (120 credits), comprising of the NZ Certificate in Digital Media and Design, and the NZ Certificate in Art and Design

This event was aptly titled 'Catalyst,' a theme that encapsulated the essence of this significant moment in their academic and creative journey. 'Catalyst' symbolised the transformation these students had undergone since embarking on their learning journey. It stood as a potent reminder of how they had evolved, both personally and academically, and marked a transformative juncture as they prepared to take the next step forward on their individual pathways to success.

The exhibition was a convergence of talent, innovation, and creativity. It provided a stage for these budding artists, designers, and creators to present their unique visions and outputs, cultivated and refined through an immersive educational experience. Each display echoed their distinctive narratives, showcasing their passion for the world of creative tech.

Led by DCF lecturer, Juno McCoy, this event was not merely an exhibition but a celebration—a celebration of learning, growth, and the promise of a bright future. It was a testament to the collective effort and commitment poured into each project and a proud acknowledgment of the pivotal role that the Digital Creativity Foundation Department had played in shaping these promising young talents
